Our Pastors sermon today focused on the Beatitude in Matthew 5:4; Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. My mind does not always wander down necessarily, profound avenues, but today I was reminded of another I heard many years ago, by Dr. David Jeremiah at a Church Growth Conference. His was entitled, Facing the Bend in the Road. To spare the details of both excellent sermons (then and todays) they both addressed that Bend in the Road or Disruptive Moments are unfortunately inevitable in life, for ourselves, our brothers and sisters in The Way. I looked up the 10 images I share tonight from nothing more than goggle images, and you can see that the concept of dealing with Lifes Bends in the Road is as common as a cloudy day. Our Pastor Paul reminded us though that Mourning is inevitable, is spiritual and TEMPORARY. The fear of what may be around those bends for good, bad or ill should not and cannot cripple us, but we can be there to comfort one another in those moments of joys or discouragements. The greatest encouragement is the KNOWLEDGE and ASSURANCE we CAN ALL HAVE, as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow that HE WILL see YOU through it! May our God bless us Every One! :)
