Our Secretary General Antonella Valmorbida among the speakers of the seminar “International & European Development Agendas: Subsidiarity, Efficiency, Accountability and Citizenship - Time for an active role of regional and local authorities”, organised by the Basque Delegation to the European Union and Euskal Fondoa, in cooperation with ALDA. As the European Year of Development 2015 is approaching, the main objective of the seminar is to raise awareness of the European and international issues, where the regional and local authorities play an essential role, as main promoters of citizens participation. The seminar will also enhance the importance of the effective, multi-level alliances between regional and local authorities and civil society organizations, which is the inevitable to activate citizens participation on a larger scale in the future.
