Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Corporal Nathan Cirillo, who was killed yesterday at the Canadian War Memorial in Ottawa by a gunman who later turned his attention to Canadas Parliament. Events like this are a humbling reminder of the selfless dedication of heroes like the Canadian Parliaments Sergeant at Arms, Kevin Vickers and our own United States Capitol Police who protect our civil servants and preserve our democratic way of life. We are forever grateful to them, and Corporal Nathan Cirillo, for their bravery.
