Overpopulation is on my mind this morning. I have chosen not to breed, my genetic line is ensured as 1) I have two other surviving siblings who wish to do so, 2) I am one of seventeen grandchildren who carry the same mitochonrdial DNA as my grandmother, five which have chosen to breed already, 3) I can not happily add to a world that can only sustain 2-3 billion people and currently has a population of 7.5 billion. My question is, will you choose to breed or will you accept the dire situation the world is currently in, particularly when you consider the incredible advancements that have been acheived in science for age defiance and IVF treatments?
