Oyo state Governor Abiola Ajimobi is reported to have wept over the sudden death of Otunba Lekan Abass.. Well personally I think the state Government Should be liable for his death for failing to provide emergency services that could have rescued the victim and prevent this avoidable death. This is what happens when state governors fail in their duties to provide basic amenities that could save lives of the citizens that voted them into power. I m told this accident happened around bodija area of Ibadan which is supposed to be a middle class area of the ancient city and which at least should have a stand by ambulance stationed around the axis. Our so called governors prefer to throw lavish parties and fly around the world at taxpayers expense rather than provide the basic amenities that will make life meaningful for the electorates.. This death was avoidable and I hope the governor will learn a lesson from this accident that next time it could be his own son or wife that would be the victim .. Adieu Otunba Lekan Abass..
