PGSM Sailor Mars transformations, both versions! As promised earlier, here is the clip of both transformation sequences for PGSM Sailor Mars (Keiko Kitagawa 北川景子), i.e. the “ordinary” version and the “running” version used when Nephrite attacked Princess Sailor Venus. As seen in the “ordinary” version for Mars, PGSM Guardians take a more active role in the transformation process, in contrast to the 1990s anime where transformation appears to be something that happens to them. The PGSM transformations were designed and supervised by a choreographer. The “running” version certainly makes discussions of “how long does it take to transform” more interesting. Even if monsters of the day would wait for 40 second-long transformations, I don’t think the Shitennou would be that patient. :) Do you think that transformation should be a process that happens on the senshi (passive role), or should it be something that is done by the senshi (active role)?
