POST :- H2S SAFETY ENGINEER FOR OIL & GAS FIELD SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 5 YEARS WORK EXPERIENCE ON THE SAME FILED. Duty and Responsibilities:- v Ensure that all crew are aware of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment. v Meet all arriving personnel & conduct a site specific H2S Safety and SCBA Briefing. v Assure that all personnel are aware to the location of evacuation routes, wind socks & Safe Areas on location. v Coordinating with all the crew on monitoring gas concentration in the air during Drilling, Coring and Well testing operation. v Coordinate, lead & review Emergency Drills on the location. v Assist in the implementation of site specific Contingency plans and emergency response procedures. v Install & distribute all company supplied safety related equipment. v Ensure all equipment on location is properly installed and good condition in case of emergency situation. v Lead rescue personnel during emergency or rescue operation. v Coordinate and conduct safety meetings and special operations related to H2S and evacuation drills. Conduct H2S safety & SCBA Training. v Rig-up & Rig-down Air loop System and Gas Detection System. v Rig up and Rig down rig rat system. v Conduct H2S Drill on location weekly. v Inspect and Calibration Gas Detection System. v Design & Fabricate Brackets for protection and reliable performance of Gas sensors and Alarm System. v Maintenance and Servicing of all Cascade system and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Cylinders to be reliable during emergency situation. v Calibration and Bump test of all Gas sensors to ensure that all Gas monitoring system are properly working and it can trigger alarm in case of emergency on the area. v Perform Air Quality Test on the cascade system and air compressor. Emergency Response Duties: v In the case of an H2S release, be prepared to don SCBA equipment and perform continuous H2S monitoring until the release is stopped or the order to evacuate has been announced. v Monitor and determine size and scope of the H2S plume and provide recommendations, based upon monitored conditions, to the Company Man so that proper course of actions can be taken to protect rig personnel from an H2S exposure. v Remain in constant communication with the Company Man as a source of information and advice. v Perform duties to assist Production Supervisor, Shop Foreman-Air Services as directed. v Perform inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling and testing of shop equipment; SCBAS, manifolds, regulators & hoses. v Assist with pulling equipment for jobs. v Continuously strive to upgrade skills and capabilities, to be able to handle new assignments and responsibilities consistent with company needs. v Complete knowledge of Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) v Complete knowledge drilling/exploration and well testing activities. v complete knowledge of breathing air compressors. v complete knowledge of Scott, Sabre, Drager BA and escape sets. v Thorough knowledge of high and low pressure filling and working procedures. v Thorough knowledge of high pressure regulators. v Complete knowledge of bells and instrumentation procedures, Signs Power Hook Ups to Rig unit.
