PROFESSOR ONWULIRI AND THE STUPID WARNING SHE GAVE TO IGBOS WISHING TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENCY IN 2015 Igbos have been crying that they want to produce the president of Nigeria and there is likelihood it will happen in 2015 or 2019 if we go about it well. But rather than go for it now that the opportunity has presented itself, one Jonathanian crumbs eating lowly thinking Igbo woman professor is warning Igbos not to contest against President Jonathan. These classes of cheap professors and Phd holders in government continue to disgrace Ndi Igbo because of the pocket money that they are getting from the massive loot that is going on in this government. I don’t know when Ndi Igbo became slaves of Jonathan to the extent that with the entire dilapidated federal infrastructure in Igbo land many are still singing the praise of his government. It is really unimaginable how low we have descended on the altar of these selfish and empty politicians. I just came back from the south eastern Nigeria, there is nothing working there. But for little efforts being made by Sullivan Chime of Enugu state and Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Igbo land would have turned out a huge graveyard. If you go to Aba by 5 pm you can’t get transportation to Umuahia because people are afraid to move. To move from one point to another within Aba, you could spend as much as 6 hours because of bad roads, and most of them are federal roads crisscrossing the city. Sometimes you spend three days in a city like Umuahia without electricity, yet our people pay huge bills from noon existing income. And some inferior human beings are here singing the praise of this failed government and warning us Igbos not to contest for presidency in a democracy. Where did we get these kinds of professors from? Today people live in fear across Igbo land because occultists everywhere, there is no job and it is now survival of the fittest. To make matters worse, the military boys that are mounted everywhere are only available from morning till evening collecting money and harassing our people. The so called security they claim to provide is nothing short of revenue collection. They come in the morning collect money and return to their base in the evening, leaving the night for cult boys. As we speak in the whole of Umuahia the Abia state capital, there is no major functional industry operating, the only company in the state is government with governor’s bill boards everywhere. While state universities in Igbo land are without hostels and good lecture rooms, Igbo leaders who have served in various governments at different levels and time are busy building private hostels and milking poor students, even with the money they stole from government. Yet a cheap desperate professor with inferiority complex is advising Igbos to continue being slaves in their country, instead of freeing themselves from the bondage those hungry politicians like Prof Onwuliri has led them into. Has this shameless professor of cluelessness forgotten what a respectable Igbo King the Obi of Onitsha told her master when he said “My president, in 2010 and 2011, you came to us and asked us to vote for you and that you will build a 2nd Niger Bridge, sea port and dry port for us. We gave you millions of votes and you became president. Today you have not fulfilled your promise as we have not seen any sign of construction, not even of the 2nd Niger Bridge Today as we speak they have gone further with their game of deception deceiving Ndi Igbo into voting for them again on the same promise of a second niger bridge, the same promised they have always served us. Ooh you foolish Igbos, who has bewitched you? Four years after deceiving you, this government organized a carnival just to flag off the construction of second Niger Bridge, a project which ex- president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo awarded for N55 billion in 2009 to Gitto Construction Ltd that has been now ballooned to N117 in 2014, an incremental rate that makes nonsense of their own claimed inflation rate and Ndi Igbo will pay for it over a period of 25 years and one man wants our vote on the account of that fraud. When all we needed was for 5 south eastern governors to put money together float a consortium that will borrow at low interest rate from funding agencies abroad and build it at a cost that could be less than 40 billion and then toll it in our own interest. Instead of them taking SURE-P money meant for Igbo states to stand collateral for a private sector company to build and milk us. Yet $20 billion went missing under this administration and we Igbos said it did not happen. The more worrisome fact is that, Ndi Igbo will pay 75 percent of the cost of construction at a very inflated price after our SURE_P money was used to back the loan. How do I know that it is inflated? For, example last year, Lagos state built a 1.3km Lekki-Ikoyi bridge for N29billion. Now Federal government wants to build a 1.8km second Niger Bridge at the cost of N117billion. To make matters worse, Ndi Igbo will pay 75 percent of the cost. Meanwhile, Lagos state built theirs under a year, but the said Niger Bridge will take four years to be completed. So that throughout these coming four years they will have something to continue to blackmail us with and to stop us from demanding our right. What this means is that Ndi Igbo have been fooled once again with the connivance of clueless professors like Onwuliri. As friend once said, ‘’Igbos are being cheated, they say! But you know what? Igbos cheat themselves more! 1. The Lagos-Ibadan expressway is being constructed by Julius Berger. It is not tolled. 2. The East-West road is being constructed (or so we believe). It is not tolled. 3. The Abuja-Lokoja road is being praised to high heavens. There is no toll on it. And someone thinks I should clap for a 25 year mortgage on a bridge being awarded in exchange for votes! I will keep crying! All Igbos and every right thinking Nigerian should cry! This is cheating even in all its hoaxness! We are getting a bad deal and we are clapping. Only a swan sings its best song when it is dying! .and we are not swans! We are Nigerians! Like every other’’. Ndi Igbo should stop deceive themselves and start taking their destiny in their hands. We should stop listening to these empty and high sounding professors who have ascent without content and go after reality. Time to stop chasing shadows as it was always the case. In 1999 Igbos denied their own blood Ekwueme from becoming Nigeria’s president. In 2003 Igbo leaders and governors gathered and endorsed Obasanjo for second term. In 2007 Igbo leaders and governors gathered and endorsed YarAdua for president. In 2011 Igbo governors and leaders endorsed Jonathan, (who was then known as Azikiwe) for president. This is 2014, while Igbos are now suffering the more, some empty heads are asking us to repeat the same mistake because they are benefiting from this corruption. Igbos should be careful the kind of people who speak and act on our behalf. Because of the interest of these few, Igbos are about to make their biggest political mistake in the entire history of Nigeria. If we say we have given away our right to President Jonathan and he is going about it the way that it is not benefitting us and we keep quiet, we will surely pay dearly for it. By the time Yorubas strike a deal with the north and the north gets power, that will be the end of the dream of a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction, atleast for so many years to come; maybe 60 years. Since President Jonathan’s ambition destroyed zoning and with the constitutionally awarded number to the north and the west, they can conveniently pass power between themselves and we will wallow in our singsong of marginalization. If all those Igbo leaders who claim they are professors don’t know what to do, they should consult us and we will tell them the easiest means to get to the presidency in the shortest possible time.
