PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - Someone apparently donated a ton of Wave Books titles to Housing Works Bookstore Cafe--including several of their gorgeous signed numbered limited-edition hardcovers. I was in there last night and bought 4: upgraded my paperback copies of Joshua Beckmans TAKE IT and SHAKE and Noelle Kocots SUNNY WEDNESDAY, and picked up Richard Meiers SHELLEY GAVE JANE A GUITAR. Because money is not infinite, the store still has hardcovers of Dara Weirs REMNANTS OF HANNAH, Caroline Knoxs QUAKER GUNS, S.A. Stepaneks THREE BREATHING, and paperbacks of Matthew Rohrers RISE UP and DESTROYER & PRESERVER (no hard feelings MR, I already own em). There may be more to come if the donation is still being inventoried/shelved. If you dont see it on the front table, check the poetry shelf upstairs. And if youre interested, dont wait. Someones bound to grab the rest of this stuff--me, quite possibly, if its still there in a few days.
