Parents who remembered getting child passenger safety information - TopicsExpress

Parents who remembered getting child passenger safety information at their child’s last checkup were more likely to report placing children in age-appropriate safety seats, according to a University of Michigan Health System study funded in part by the NICHD. Yet only 25% of parents recalled receiving such information. White parents were significantly more likely than non-white parents to report age-appropriate car seat use, underscoring the need for more efforts directed at eliminating racial disparities in medical care.
