Paul (the writer of Corinthians) likened this flesh body to a tent, in that it is a temporary dwelling place that is disassembled at death. Paul then said that those people who die in Christ have a body waiting for them beyond the Curtain of Time. This flesh body is merely a tent in which the soul (it is the real you) dwells, and, when this flesh body is disassembled at death, then your soul (if you are saved in Christ) will go and dwell within an eternal body (a permanent dwelling) called the “theophany”. The theophany is the clothing we will receive if we go to the Region of the Blessed (Heaven), but if our soul does not go there, then it will remain in an unclothed state, it will be disembodied, which means that it will abide in the Region of the Lost without a body. Paul called this disembodied state “nakedness”, because the souls in Hell are not clothed with bodies; simply put, they are spirit beings (ghosts)
