Peggy Carr: Whether or not they realize it, the elected officials need the help and substantive support of the entire population – not just the people who voted for them. And yes, genuine support includes constructive criticism, without which an administration could become an echo chamber. Vincentians should be able to elect an administrative team, take a couple weeks to congratulate ourselves, give the team members a few weeks to get over themselves, let the opposition lick its wounds for a few weeks also, then buckle down to work as a country. How hard can it be? The population is the size of a village in some other countries. What sense does it make to divide that in two or three?
