People that shrug about changing social mores regarding privacy - a thread-worn justification is that mores are always in natural flux. Thats true. But. 1) This isnt natural. Its at the behest of ad brokers making click money off you, and intelligence professionals making their job easy no matter the side consequences. *You* dont get any of that lucrative click money that selling your privacy generates, and you dont get access to the power that intelligence databases create. 2) You may not experience pressing problems from this in your daily life yet. But by the time you do, its going to be so much harder than it is now to do something about it. Not that its easy now. That shrug bothers me. Its an encouraged shrug. /vent
