Please Pray and help if you can! -Link below Anas Scoliosis Treatment Fund BRADFORD, TN Ana’s Scoliosis Story 13 year old Ana was diagnosed with progressive scoliosis in July of 2014. Her curve went from 32 degrees to 40.6 degrees in 6 weeks. Then another x-ray done in October revealed an even further progression of her curvature to 42.5 while doing physical therapy 3 days a week. On a daily basis she experiences nausea sometimes vomiting and pain in her neck shoulder and back. Sometimes she also complains of her ribs hurting when she breathes. Her orthopedic specialist said her curve was too great for a ridged brace to work and it is a wait-and-see period. Meaning waiting for her curve to reach 50 degrees so she can have rods placed in her spine and have her vertebra fused together. I was not satisfied with that so I started to do a little research of my own and found a scoliosis boot camp for her to go to. The 10 day boot camp is in Wisconsin and the treatment alone is $7000, that does not include the gas money and a place to stay for 2 weeks. It does however include an activity suit and some equipment to take home to continue her treatment after we get back home. This will be a lifelong struggle for her, but this boot camp will help prevent surgery and make it easier for her to take control of her body and health again.
