Please...Whether the scene is a metaphor for rape specifically, - TopicsExpress

Please...Whether the scene is a metaphor for rape specifically, more likely abuse in general, the message is both powerful and appropriate. This is real life but through the lens of a fairy tale it imparts wisdom. Wisdom which our sacred children need to navigate their daily lives; it helps them discern how they want to guide their destinies. The choice is clear and ageless for children of all ages: hate or love, bitterness or happiness, victim-hood or power. Which do we choose? Maleficent was Magnificent as the real life example who, like each one of us, has power over both their own Light and Shadow--as Disney states it: She is both the Hero and Villain that saves the world. Want a more honest approach to the power within each of us? Dont think you will find a better vehicle to teach this to our children, who are sensitive and vulnerable to daily realities -- even as they cant express or understand them completely. It is still our duty to guide them. I hope Maleficent is appreciated as a classic fairy tale, imparting ageless wisdom to enrich our daily lives.
