Please come be a part of YOUR government this afternoon: Public Business Meeting Agenda Thursday, August 8, 2013 – 5:00 p.m. Allegany County Office Building, 701 Kelly Road, Room 100, Cumberland, Maryland WE ASK THOSE CITIZENS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD TO REGISTER ON THE SIGN-UP SHEET AND CONDENSE THEIR COMMENTS TO FIVE MINUTES OR LESS. THIS WILL ALLOW AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYONE WISHING TO COME FORWARD TO HAVE A CHANCE TO SPEAK. IF AN ADDITIONAL FIVE MINUTES IS NEEDED, THEIR NAME WILL BE ADDED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST. REPORT OF THE PRESIDENT PRESENTATION Item 1 – National Health Center Week Proclamation – Susan B. Walter, M.S.W., Executive Director, Tri-State Community Health Center. ACTION AGENDA Item 2 – Introduction of Code Home Rule Bill 5-13 “Amendments to Allegany County Public Ethics Law” – William M. Rudd, County Attorney. Item 3 – Schroeder Industries, LLC – Authorize the President of the Board of Commissioners to execute all necessary documents at closing with Schroeder Industries, LLC, for their acquisition of the Multi Tenant Building located in the North Branch Industrial Park – William M. Rudd, County Attorney. Item 4 – Resolution 13-14 – United States Bicycle Route 50 – Authorize the Board of County Commissioners to adopt the resolution endorsing the designation of the Great Allegheny Passage as part of United States Bicycle Route 50, and request the Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary to submit an application for designation – Roy S. Cool, Transportation Planner III. CONSENT AGENDA As recommended by the County Administrator Item 5 – Grant Agreement for Kiosk at Great Allegheny Passage – Authorize the Board of County Commissioners to approve the Grant Agreement in the amount of $20,000 by and between the Maryland Department of Transportation and Allegany County, Maryland and authorize the President to sign. Item 6 – Renewal of Vision Benefits of America Agreement – Authorize the Board of Commissioners to approve the Managed Vision Care Contract Renewal – VBA#1160 for employees for a 24-month period from October 1, 2013, through September 30, 2015. Item 7 – Allegany County Mental Health Advisory Board Re-Appointments – Authorize the Board of Commissioners to re-appoint Frank Bishop, Karen Stansberry, Mark Tomick and Beth Clark to the Allegany County Mental Health Advisory Board. Their terms will expire on June 30, 2016.
