Please consider volunteering at your local animal shelter. Yes, it can be noisy. Yes, it can be smelly. Yes, it can be sad. All the more reason to go! Wouldnt YOU want a short break to escape that? To get some fresh air? To say hi to old friends and new? To stretch your legs? To be free? So does every shelter dog. Make their day! Its tough to put them back in their kennels, but its so much more heartbreaking to think of the alternative--no one caring or unselfish enough to give that dog a break. Please, contact your local shelter and ask how you can walk dogs. If youre in my area, Id be happy to show you the ropes.
