Please join us to fight Muscular Dystrophy In memory Richard Vincent Wallace | 1970 - 2010 | Obituary Richard Vincent Wallace Share this obituary Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share in Email Send condolences Richard Vincent Wallace Born: March 20, 1970 Died: May 09, 2010 RICHARD WALLACE ALLEN-Services for Richard Vincent Wallace, 40, Allen, are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Allen School Auditorium, Revs. Ed Rutherford and Lenn Murray and Mr. Daryl Buck will officiate. Burial will follow at the Atwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 3:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time. Mr. Wallace died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at his home in Allen. He was born March 20, 1970 at St. Louis, Missouri to Harry Virgil and Mary Helen Smith Wallace. He and his family moved to Allen where he attended Allen elementary school and graduated from Moss High School in 1988. He married Jennifer Lourain Wall on June 4, 1998. Mr. Wallace was a bridge contractor with Richard Wallace Construction. He also raised peanuts for four years until 1993, ran a small dozer and equipment hauling company until 1996. He and his brother, Charles Wallace hauled cattle nationwide for one of the largest cattle hauling companies at the time until 1997 at which time he hauled equipment and owned a bulldozer company until 2002. He then went to work for Garcia Construction as a foreman for bridge approaches before going out on his own in 2006 when he started his own bridge construction company working as a sub-contractor for The Railroad Yard, Inc. building county bridges all over Oklahoma until August 2009 at which time he sold his company to The Railroad Yard, Inc. due to health reasons. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Allen United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Wallace, of the home; four children, Tonya Farmer and husband Justin, Allen, Preston Wallace, of the home, Samuel Wallace, of the home, and Olivia Wallace, of the home; his mother, Mary Wallace, Atwood; two sisters, Cynthia Buck and husband Daryl, Tahlequah, and Susan Ballenger and husband Carl, Edmond; a brother, Charles Wallace and wife Angie, Atwood; an aunt, Diane Scott, Waco, TX; uncles and aunts, Don and Karla Wallace, Wichita Falls, TX, Jon and Vicki Wallace, Edmond, Don and June Hightower, Hartville, MO, Charles and Carole Smith, Marshfield, MO, David and Laurabeth Smith, Marshfield, MO, and Jo Ann and Ron Ligon, Knoxville, TN; a loyal friend, Darrell Hamilton, Tecumseh; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Wallace in 2008; his maternal grandparents, Joe R. and Clema Smith; and paternal grandparents, V. H. and Ruby Wallace. Bearers will be Mike Goodson, Darrell Hamilton, Brandon Brown, Kenny Fortner, Stormy Rinehart, and Bill Anderson IV. Honorary bearers will be Chris Merriman, Roger Merriman, Justin Farmer, Mark Downey, W. E. Dollins, and Tommy Schmidt.
