Please spare a thought tonight for the poor people of the Philippines, who are suffering as I write, the full force of yet another typhoon, but one that is slightly lower in intensity that Yolanda that killed over 7,000 peoples just 13 months ago. I have my Filipino family, Meldrid Dacuitals family evacuating out of their house. The boys of the family have stayed to stop looting from their shop, but nanay and tatay along with the younger children have evacuated. There used to be three or four rows of houses between the family home and the ocean until Yolanda hit last year. Now there is nothing in the way, and the house has had an ocean view for the last year. All those rows of houses simply washed away. Meldrid and I are obviously concerned and worried, but there is nothing we can do except wait until communications open up again, and we find out the situation with the family, and the area in general. So sad, so bloody sad!!
