Please support our fundraising effort! Our Story: Hi everyone! My two oldest children went on a mission trip to Honduras this past June, and they met many needy people. When our family heard one story, we decided that we just had to do something about it. Elkie is a little 11 year old boy, and one of five children in his family. His father "works" at the dump, going there every day to search for necessities for his family. Elkie´s mother died in a car accident a few years ago. Elkie is disabled and cannot use his legs. He sits in his little shack at the top of the mountain waiting for his family to return each day. A nurse who was along on this venture examined him and felt confident that Elkie could regain the use of his legs with surgery. God tells us over and over again in his Word that our life here on earth is all about sharing what we have been blessed with, and serving others. When Jesus was here, he didn´t just walk around feeling sorry for those less fortunate, but got busy helping them. Our family is not going to sit by and let Elkie suffer through life, we are going to work until his needs are met. Come join us! Lets be Jesus´ hands and feet! We found a pretty reasonable fundraiser and have been hitting the streets with a very favorable response. Please let anyone that you think might be interested know that they can shop and order online and can have the sales go towards Elkie. It looks like the shipping is pricey, especially for the low cost of the items, so I would suggest a little organization so that multiple orders are shipped together. funpastafundraising/shop/kids-for-christ
