Police investigating a reported armed robbery at a supermarket in Barber Road, Crookes, are appealing for information. The incident is believed to have taken place at around 10.05pm on Sunday 7 December. It is reported that a man entered the store, threatening staff with what is believed to be a large knife and asking for money. A sum of money was taken during the incident and nobody is believed to have been injured. The man then fled the scene in the direction of Roebuck Road. He is described as a white man around 6ft tall. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 974 of 7 December 2014. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
