Police uses tear gas to protesting student group at Ankara University Turkish police intervened a student group when they refused being searched by police while they entering the faculty. Police intervention came after students, who tried to enter the faculty by refusing police search near the security point at Ankara University’s Faculty of Language History and Geography there police used tear gas and many students were taken under custody. Tension accelerated when a group of students at Sıhhiye campus of faculty on the refusal of being searched by police. Tense atmosphere turned violent when an argument initiated by police and students on the refusal of students’ entering to the campus. An explanation made by university management of Faculty of Language History and Geography after the incident, which caused to have tension around the faculty, in which management said that education has been suspended for three days in the faculty. #Ankara # Police #Intervention
