Posting for friend - Maia (female) is an Akita Mix - born 12/22/13. She currently weighs 20 lbs and will probably weigh b/t 50 & 60 lbs at full growth. She is a very high energy dog and needs a firm hand. She is current on her shots/worming. We found out she is not good with cats. She does not bark (except at the cats). She is crate trained and almost all the way potty trained (still have a few #1 accidents -- but it is because she gets excited coming out of the crate). She loves to play with toys and we have been working on Clicker training. She will sit and come and we are still working on stay. She needs guidance about not biting and mouthing. Spray bottle with water has seemed to work. I want her to go to a good home (with no cats) and be with someone who will love and care for her. She can be high energy but tires quickly.
