Power to change David C. McCasland READ: Romans 12: 1-8 Do not be conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind ... Romans 12: 2 Noted educator and author Tony Wagner believes in disruptive innovation that changes the way we think and work in the world. In his book Creating innovative, said: Innovation takes place in all aspects of human endeavor and opportunities and appropriate environment, most people can become more creative and innovative. Paul was an innovator of the first century, who traveled throughout Asia Minor telling people how they could be transformed through faith in Jesus Christ. To the Christians in Rome, he wrote: Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, rather let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think (Romans 12: 2 NLT). He urged them to devote themselves completely to God (v. 1). In a selfish, greedy and avaricious world, the apostle taught them and trained them to live a generous life and Christ-centered. The world has changed considerably since the days of Paul, but the longing for love and forgiveness that people feel powerless to change and remain the same. Jesus, the great innovator, offers all these things and invites us to experience a new and different life in Him. God takes us as we are, but we just never stops.
