Praying for God to release an anointing that affect nations!! Luke 3:17 - His fan is in His hand. He will thoroughly purge His floor. But He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. And many other things did he The Bible does not tell us the “many other things” I wonder what they were. I wish he had left a list. Here is the man John who says Jesus must increase as John decreases. He does not announce himself: • He has no program. • He has the favor of nobody. • He has the Roman army against him. • He has the religious army of the Jews against him. • He has the Pharisees against him. • He has the Sadducees against him. • He had no financial backing nor does he sell the anointing on his life through stickers, bottled “anointing” water • He has no money (he does not need it) and he does not have a miracle ministry It says very clearly: John did no miracle Nobody ran after him pleading: Have mercy on my son he is a lunatic. Nobody cried, Unclean, unclean, unclean or open my eyes, or I am deaf, or something. Nobody would dare say go deeper. Nobody said that. He had no anointing water. He never unstopped deaf ears. He never opened blind eyes. He never cured a withered leg or withered arm. He did not raise a dead man THIS MAN JOHN, RAISED A DEAD NATION. SINGLE-HANDEDLY. Oh what an anointing, what a fire!! John, the Baptist, was not an educated man. He did not have a Ph.D. or a DD, or a Mth behind his name. His credentials were much higher than that. He had the specific Call of God. John 1:6 - “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.” His credentials were from heaven. God has had this man in the school of silence. He has been talking to God and walking with God and weeping before God. He has lived with Jeremiah. He has lived with the prophets. He knew what Isaiah said that one day a man should come in the wilderness crying, Prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 35 says that highway shall be called the way of holiness, and that a wayfaring man, though fool, need not err therein. When many followed him in the wilderness to be baptised, or to hear him, he didn’t have appealing words. He didn’t have a PR message. He didn’t appeal to men’s itching ears. He did not have a TV crew responsible for marketing his ministry. When men came to hear him, he proclaimed without fear - Luke 3:7-8 – “Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” Today I pursue the anointing on this man!! I want it!!! I want more of it!!! I want is because of where we are as a church. I want it because of what has befallen my nation Malawi.. I want it because of the people of Africa. God may you take me to be a wilderness preacher who doesn’t focus on man’s endorsement. Help me to preach the word. I want the anointing like the one which was on this man John Have a blessed Thursday and may you be on fire for God. May you be like a brand plucked out of fire
