Facts are beginning to emerge on why Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun collapsed in the holy land of Mecca during the recent Umrah (lesser Hajj) holy pilgrimage. Gathered that Governor Amosun had gathered over 200 Alfas for the pilgrimage to go and pray for his return to power in 2015 in Mecca, and on getting there, they were joined by other experienced Imams in Mecca. During the course of the prayers, he was however told in plain terms that his bid to return to the Oke-Mosan Government House is already a failed project as God did not will his return. It was at this point that the Governor Amosun reportedly collapsed. Informed sources disclosed that this was the third time the Governor must have fainted in the last three months. Earlier, before he travelled, he was said to have engaged his elder brother, Alhaji Abidoye (also called Alhaji Agba) in a shouting match because that one warned him to drop his governorship ambition for 2015. He allegedly threatened to withdraw all the privileges accorded his brother on the strength of this advice.
