*Proud Mama Moment* I am very impressed with Kellers passion for guitar and ability to a)think of a song he has heard and just figure out the melody without any instruction, and b) his ability to just come up with cool chord progressions. Hes got really natural rhythm and this morning has written a little song that sounds like something the Pixies would write. He keeps playing from the time he wakes up until we make him do anything else, and keeps at it even with blisters on his fingers and I think hes into it enough that we will get him a real guitar for his birthday this year. :-) I didnt start really teaching myself guitar till I was 13, and was never as adept as my dad or my brother at taking music from my inside my head outward unless I was singing. Im impressed at his young ability to do both. Im pretty proud and also hope maybe this will help his confidence, finding something he seems to just take on so naturally when so many other things that require fine motor skills or really good hand eye coordination like art and sports are such a struggle for him.
