Psalm 59:16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud - TopicsExpress

Psalm 59:16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Theres comfort in music. Amen. Music is uplifting and is used for many things. Sometimes when we call a business and are put on hold theres usually soft music playing while waiting for the person to pickup on the other end. The power of music to heal and help is a gift from God that comforts many. This could be why Psalms used it to speak deeply to us. There we find lyrics that connect with our hearts, allowing us to speak to God from the depths of our spirits. Amazingly David wrote this song as he was being hunted down by men seeking to kill him. Its amazing that when you and I hit what we think is rock bottom, that we can begin to sing the songs of Zion and before we know it, the Holy Ghost of God will begin to stir up on the inside of us. Its like that Fire Jeremiah spoke about. Despite his circumstances, David remembered Gods power and mercy, and singing of them encouraged him to go on. There are many times in our life that we will feel like David did, even though no one is seeking to kill us, but the adversary is coming against us with everything he can to put fear and doubt in our hearts. May The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob give us a song today that will remind us of His goodness and greatness, no matter what we may face. I charge you today to be encouraged and keep pressing on, for the storm is almost over. Be Blessed and share Jesus with someone today.
