Qualities to look out for in the next LAWSAN President 1) He Must Be a Servant Leader LAWSANites must agitate for a leader who sees himself as a servant of his followership. He must not see himself as a divine god,not even a semi or a demi god. He must also resist and renounce his deification by patronage -hunting sycophants. 2) He must have the capacity to accept criticism: Following directly from this,LAWSANites must,as a matter of compulsion,cast their votes to a leader who will always have his ears to the ground and not always remain detached in his Olympian height. You must bear in mind that many leaders are ruined by the sweet-nothings of Sycophancy while many are saved from destruction by the comfortable truths from the bold constructive critic. 4) Must not be Selfish It is an unforgivable moral sin for any leader to use his fellowership to further his own little selfish ends. Such a leader invariably arrogates to himself the posture of a Gulliver towering sky high among little Lilliputians,whom he could only grudgingly credit with even the most humble ability to reason for themselves. No human being, however simple minded,enjoys being used as a tool to end. 5) He must not be seen as one who only deliver materially A leader whose forte is on material power has a paternalistic notion which is clearly materialistic in content,and also akin to Platos Philosopher-King concept,it is not only palpably simplistic in outlook,it is equally inherently dangerous.. LAWSANites do not only need material sufficiency,they also equally need and demand and expect moral leadership. Material euphoria is essentially superficial administering only to our baser sentiments while moral wealth is so sustaining because it impinges on the sublimer aspects of our being. Lastly,it is worthy to note that,nature creates no zero man. Every man creates his own niche. That ones station is scored humble and the other Exalted does not in anyway suggest that such a grouping enjoys any absolute fundamental descriptive validity. It is simply a matter of convention,the continnum of human existence or experience has neither biginning nor end. It is circular. Above all, he must be accessible. LAWSANites will not like a situation that will make them fill a form or someone calling himself PA frustrating their chances of meeting their President It is wise to vote morally. Paapa Akpan LLB 1.
