Question by Lexinator07: Creative activities using small glass spice jars? I have a whole box of small glass spice jars with glass lids and my mom is putting them in a garage sale next weekend, so if theres any good ideas you have to put them to a different use, that would be great! Ive went on Pintrest and seen things where you can use them as a one stem flower thing but I dont know. Best answer: Answer by TwoTwoKind of funny because my mother gave me a box of 24 glass spice jars, too. At first I thought Id have lots of uses for them but I found that I didnt have that many small items that required jar storage as I thought I would. (a few things, though). Obviously, fresh-cut herbs and spices. Loose-leaf teas (wonderful because you can mix your own blends, same with flavoured coffee beans) and dried fruits. Theyre nice for vitamins, candies, raisins, nuts, etc. Theyre good for nails, screws, bolts, etc. They work for hobby-things like decorations, stickers, little scrapbook decorative items. Sewing items and buttons, and things like that. Small hair clips, barrettes, elastics, stretchy headbands, etc. Bobby pins. Cotton swabs, cotton rounds, cosmetic sponges. Sugar and Splenda packets, (any packets like soy sauce, etc.) Great for jellies and preserves (better than the jars they come in because the opening is wider). Theyre nice for parties or decorating a dinner table.. placing votive candles in each and placing around the table. Nice for outside dinners, too. Adding your favorite little pebbles, marbles, sea-glass, lava, sand or tiny seashells with a votive candle looks pretty and keeps the candle in-place. Good for potpourri, too. I eventually found recipes for jar cakes (usually made with largish, glass canning jars) and even the small, glass spice jars work well for little mini cupcake jar-cakes. Smoothies, hot apple cider in a jar, bite-sized brownies, blondies or stacked cookies. Theyre really cute and very transportable/givable. Heres a couple/few recipes. (below) Very pretty and is a nice impromptu b-day or just because gift for someone. (maybe you could even sell them at your tag sale) with the cupcake inside! (with a cold glass of chocolate milk..you may make a fortune).. Id buy one! SMORES in a JAR recipe (veeeery good..
