RAILA ODINGA should return all the six vehicles – Jubilee Senators says - He is a NORMAL citizen Jubilee coalition Senators, led by Majority Leader in the Senate, Prof Kithure Kindiki, have urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to return the six vehicles since he is now a normal citizen (Raiyaa). In a statement on Friday evening, Kithure said Raila Odinga should return the six vehicles saying the law is clear on what a public officer should do when he is “rejected” by the people. Kindiki also said the problems Raila is currently facing are not political as CORD orphans are shouting on the rooftops, but it is according to the law. “Kibaki did not assent to legislation that would have benefited the former Prime Minister and the former Vice President,” Kindiki clarified. “This problem should not be blamed on the Jubilee Government,” Kindiki added. Flanked by Senator Martha Wangari and Emma Mbura, Kithure said Jubilee coalition would revisit the matter if the Retirement Benefits Bill is re-introduced. He accused CORD leaders of politicising the current position of the law as they sought to have Raila Odinga enjoy State privileges. “CORD leaders should stop creating their own law. Raila should return the six vehicles since he is breaking the law of Kenya,” Kindiki said.
