Recently, GAO received in several older dogs, some who have never experienced a home, some who have and for some reason find themselves in need of a new forever home. Here is one of those sweet greyhounds who needs a special someone to show them they matter, that they deserve to be loved and cherished in their later years. Senior Sunday Part 4 Huey (“Huey of Ruckus”) “Hi – I am Huey. (Or Sweet Huey, or Sweetheart – that’s what the folks here call me!) I was born in January (the 14th) of 2007, one of NINE puppies! Lots of food fights in that crew let me tell you! But it got me ready for the training I needed to be a racer! After I was trained, I raced first in West Virginia, then Arkansas. I raced until just after my 4th birthday - my retirement was the best gift EVER! Or so I thought… I went all the way to St. Louis to meet my forever family and everything was all I was told it could be in a HOME. We all moved to Ohio but due to some changes, I now need a REAL forever home this time around! Because I was in a home once, I know all kinds of things, like stairs, mirrors, bedtime, toys, soft beds so I am really, really, really ready for a couch again! (Its kinda hard knowing what I can have, what I had that I dont have any more :-( ) As you can see, I am one well-travelled hound. While I don’t mind travelling, it sure would be nice to be in one place with my FOREVER family – could it be yours? Please come to meet me soon! Huey” To meet Huey, please contact GAO greyhoundadoptionofoh.org/adoptionapplication.htm
