Regarding this afternoons announcement, here is our now former guitarist Daryls statement regarding his departure from the band: It is with a heavy (Metal) heart that I must step down from guitar and song writing duties for the band Amputated. After 12 years of fun and laughter, my time with the band must sadly come to an end. Ive had some of the best times with this band, traveled to some of the most amazing countries and generally had a great ride. So this was not an easy decision for me to make. Unfortunately, there were issues and problems that couldnt be resolved, resulting in the collapse of my enjoyment in the band. Ive always looked at being in Amputated as a chance to have fun with a bunch of close friends while traveling as far as possible. However, over the last year or so, the fun has been replaced with stress and complications, which in turn has led to me needing to find my own path musically and emotionally. I wish the boys all the best in the future with what they they do next and hope that my leaving will work out for the best. Ive got a few things in the pipeline lined up already and have been asked to work with some top musicians/friends. For now, Ill be taking some time off to better myself as a guitarist and hopefully take the next step in playing music that I hope people will enjoy as much as they have with Amputated. If you didnt know, Amputated have some cracking shows lined up in the near future, so please check them out and show your support. Its been a very difficult time for them over the last few years with the departure of nearly every original member, but the name will live on, and hopefully get them to where they want to be. Thank you to everyone of my family/friends for all your support and feedback over the years. It certainly hasnt gone unnoticed! And a special thanks goes out to all my fans who have personally messaged me the last 12 years with kind comments and appreciation. You guys ROCK!! If youd like to show support, please feel free to message me privately and ill do my very best to get back to each and every one of you. Especially if you have any questions youd like to ask me.
