Registered Name: Hancocks Sparkle Red Height: 15.2 Weight: 1250 pounds Birthday: April 12, 2002 Location: Rivers End Performance Horses. Sanger, Texas Dixie is an amazing athlete that is easy to ride and easy to shoot on. She is finger tip light in the face and runs in a short shanked twisted snaffle. She can run with or without a tie down. She has never hit a barrel or acted like she wanted to hit it. She doesn’t cheat, if you don’t sit down in your seat she isn’t going to turn, she waits on your cue. She is very easy to rate, she is push style and will only run as fast as you ask!! Dixie is not only an upper level horse but WILL SLOW DOWN for lower levels. I have used her in beginner shooting clinics, I have given toddlers riding lessons on her, she great takes care of everyone. She is a FINISHED 2D/3D barrel horse push style, kid safe, no alley issues, and very consistent!! She is a finished head horse. She is great on cattle drives and trail rides. I have used her for Ranch Pleasure, Working Cow Horse, Reining, and Trail Class in SHOT. She has been there done that with a record to prove it!! Following is record since purchase in 2012. Not all wins are listed just the important ones with videos! I purchased Dixie in April 2012, I had watched her for about 2 years and I always liked her. So, when her owner put her up for sale at Nationals in 2012 I had to have her. I was told by several people she was “too slow” “she’s never going to make an upper level shooting horse” but boy did she prove them all wrong! I competed on her that week in the AA Double Down and placed 3rd. It was the first time I had shot on her and I had no idea what to expect, but what I found out was she was completely easy to ride! So our journey began… May 13th 2012 we won the Louisiana State Ladies Overall Championship, May 26th Colorado State Reserve Ladies Overall Championship and placed 5th out of 110 riders, June 5th Oklahoma State Ladies 4 Championship https://youtube/watch?v=MpB8xe39wgM , June 16th I won my first High Overall at a Texas Match with 40+ people moving me up to a Level 5, my first shoot as a level 5 was July 5th Battle In The Saddle I won the class and Ladies Reserve Overall https://youtube/watch?v=z6eyy9-ybfE , Also in July we won Ladies Reserve Overall at the Will Lantis Memorial. August, she set a world record on the fast five that still holds https://youtube/watch?v=wBs-pUAsIaA, won the Western US Ladies 5 Championship and placed 2nd in the AAA Double down https://youtube/watch?v=ZDtY_oBc4vI. September, she won the Tennessee Ladies Reserve Overall Championship. October, she won the Western South Central Regional L5 championship https://youtube/watch?v=c19-47XuO_s. I missed at world causing us to miss out on that championship, but here’s the video https://youtube/watch?v=2ZI5yUDTYzI Some more videos from 2012 https://youtube/watch?v=CJYv0uWY4tg https://youtube/watch?v=Qe_LpFuSGHU In 2013, we started off with a High Overall at a Texas match!! January we went to Jacksonville, Florida for the MSA Eastern Championships. We placed reserve in the Qualifier, and 3rd in the class! https://youtube/watch?v=6wQs3oElqDg , February, we won Reserve Overall and Ladies Overall at the Fort Worth Stockshow, we won High Overall at Sun Circuit and won the Double Down Finals that night with not only the fastest time of the Ladies AAA, but the fastest time of the night https://youtube/watch?v=Y6Ggtqh8Tec , we won the South Western Ladies 5 Regional Championship, the AQHA Youth and placing 6th overall at the Winter US Championship https://youtube/watch?v=kSewoXVWglo , and won the Open Eliminator at the Bryan Texas Freeze Out https://youtube/watch?v=xDz9Exf9PhU , March we went to the AQHA World Championships in Houston she won the Bronze Trophy https://youtube/watch?v=Mpe_yWGn7Ok , April we won the South Central Regional L5 Championship, broke a world record on course #28, and won the AQHA Youth National Championship, https://youtube/watch?v=2_LJ73fk1rk https://youtube/watch?v=me8FnH2zWJU , May, the Cowboy Classic we won the Open Eliminator https://youtube/watch?v=ggjn9MQt_wU , Colorado State Ladies Overall Champion and Mid Mountain Ladies Reserve Overall Champion. June, we placed reserve in the L5 at the Central US Championships https://youtube/watch?v=vWsPf4HnhFU July, we placed 2nd in the Ladies 5 class at the Mountain Regionals, won the Ladies Overall at the Will Lantis Memorial, and placed 2nd in the AAA Double Down https://youtube/watch?v=kL_X2HVUTKk During the eliminator Friday night before the last 2 stages in the Main Match Dixie stumbled causing some chiropractic issues in her neck as you can see she can ran fine the next day. We didn’t realize at the time anything was wrong, we figured that out the next week when she acted sore. We took her to vets had x-rays and unltra sounds done but nothing was wrong. So we had the chiropractor adjust her and she has been fine ever since! But I didn’t compete on her again until worlds 2013, I was using my backup horse and fell in love with riding her so Dixie got put on the back burner. Which was a good decision because Dixie came out to win the World Championships. She won the L5’s and AQHA Youth earning us the AQHA 2013 High Points for the youth division!! https://youtube/watch?v=Ok2senk05UE In 2014, I went back to using my backup horse because I trained that horse from scratch and wanted to promote a horse that was totally mine. So Dixie competed and won a bit with Shelby from January – April but went back to pasture and didn’t compete again until September. So starting in September, we won 2 Ladies Overalls https://youtube/watch?v=u7M4dL-PqKQ October, we won the High Overall at the Georgia State Champion. https://youtube/watch?v=stal55L5uFQ At Vernon, we had Ladies Overall until the last stage when I missed 2 At Worlds, we placed reserve in the Open Eliminator. https://youtube/watch?v=K2e7_35QZxE In 2015, we started off the year with a Ladies Overall one day and on the second day we placed Reserve Ladies Overall https://youtube/watch?v=8Lw-U-YDveU SO if you are looking for an amazing horse with an amazing record to prove it not priced out of this world. She is the horse for you!! If you are lower level looking for a horse that can take you to the top and keep you there. She is the horse for you!! If you are looking for an awesome barrel horse, with a nice brain that can do other events this is her!! She is 100% sound, has never been injected, DOESN’T require any special care. She is the real deal!! Priced firm at $10,000!!! It breaks my heart to have to sell her but I bought a trailer and have to sell her to pay for it. No I dont have videos of her running barrels, no I cant get videos of her running barrels. If you are truly interest in her as a barrel horse, I will bring her to a barrel race for you to try out.
