Reposting from Karla Grimsley Hildebrand. Can anyone help? Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience......my son has.had seizures since he was around 2-now 9. Two years ago his seizures changed and he was having what we know now are abdominal seizures, however he had cognitive impairment and we saw changes in his behavior and personality. In February he started having some sort of night seizures and we saw more changes included occular motor changes as well as changes with the way his eyes move which required surgery. I am so concerned for several reasons, one being we are seeing changes again, we have had a 48 hour eeg, blood work and he is having a spinal tap on Friday. My second reason for concern is my 3 year old, a week and a half ago had a 40 minute seizure, we are doing an eeg and mri for her Friday as well. She is now studdering and seems delayed in responding. I need answers now, they do feel that there may be a genetic connection between the two of them but are now waiting to get into another dr, this time an epileptologist. Just wanting to know if anyone has anything to share or if they have heard of anything like this happening, thanks!
