Resort Vacation Properties is very excited to announce that due to an extraordinary effort by local volunteers and the heartfelt support of the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners, St. George Island now has a Leave No Trace ordinance. The ordinance requires that all holes be filled before leaving the beach and that all personal belongings be removed at night. We are grateful that action was taken because the photos you see are real and were taken this summer by members of the St. George Island Turtle Volunteer Team. What this means to you: Personal belongings left on the beach between the hours of 9 pm and 9 am are subject to being removed from the beach by Franklin County employees. There will be an introductory educational period but please practice now so our beaches can return to the pristine and unspoiled condition that weve always enjoyed!
