Right now in the Surry County Jail, inmates are patiently waiting on tomorrows one real meal the only one you get for the year. They are asking whos throwing in on a Holiday Swole which is where if you are fortunate enough to have money on your books you buy chips, mini sausage with a stick of real cheese. You crush the chips up into a powder add sausage or even left overs from lunch put it in a chip bag add water and let it swell up just to get something to eat something with flavor. And they are seeing who can throw in on a State Cake where you take a honey bun and the two daycare size cookies you get a day and smash the cookies pourna little water or milk into the crushed cookies to make your icing. Tomorrow they will get a new red solo cup with real pop in it. A meal which resembles real food and a candy cane. Tomorrow night they will get a bag of chips. One day they will get their freedom.... my thoughts are with them as I was with them last year.
