Right this is probably gonna be very long and emotional and soppy so please bare with. Before I signed up for NCS, I can genuinely say I hated life, I was bored, I had nobody to talk to and was extremely lonely but then I signed up. I still remember the warm up session and how everyone was like silent yet the leaders made me personally feel accepted and welcome and I loved that. Then NCS began and from the first second of day one I was an extremely quiet and awkward kid who just kept his headphones in, but during that first week at Outward Bound, I drank a lot of coffee, kept my energy up and tried making friends and succeeded! That first week was tough but coming home on the Friday was a sombre affair! The activities were tough, painful and troublesome but they eased up and were fantastic fun! Then week two began, and the activities eased up, shopping with you guys, being zombies with guys, come dine with me, the dragons den, a morning in Penrith and of course THAT WATER FIGHT!!! This week has had a lot of ups and a few downs but the people around me kept me going, and this is where my specific thank yous begin! Honestly I could not have gotten through this week without Hannah Gillies - my new big sister whos hugs make it all better and of course my new bestie Georgina, you guys cheered me up when I needed it and have genuinely made me feel so happy to have came on NCS! And also to Roddy for saving my life only 4 times, dude I owe you one. Cannot wait for the next phases!! But literally thank you everyone, youve all encouraged me, helped me, supported me, looked after me, made me feel welcome, been my friend and just been there for me! I love you guys and I couldnt have asked for a cooler group of people to have on my wave!
