Rob Animalrightsnow Boisvert actual vid of Frederick Thériault: doing what was needed for animal rights when he ran into the greased pig arena and hand cuffed himself to the container they violently drop the captured pigs in..............bravo Frederick Thériault: you did such a great job helping bring light to the horrific goings on in Quebec in the sickening name of family entertainment, the vid is in french but if u cant speak it just mute it and watch a hero do what was needed.............here is the vid translated to english Interviewer: The images that youre seeing happened yesterday at the Pig Festival in St. Prepethue in central Quebec. Its not the first time weve talked about it, especially since Georges Laraque spoke out about it. These images can shock many people, and its the case of a militant against animal cruelty, who is with us, and made headlines, because, you, you delved into the arena, so tell us what you did. Frédérick: Basically what I did was I jumped in to show that animals have rights, that is not to be in that place, its not their choice, we exploit them, so what i did was sort of to wake up society, to wake them up to the fact that were aware, that we have the choice to stop exploiting living beings, killing them, assassinating them, eating them for the simple pleasure of taste. Today we have choices. Interviewer: We see these images. They werent pre-planned? Frédérick: Pardon me? Interviewer: Nobody from the organization was aware in advance that you were going to do this? Frédérick: No no no, just me, my partner and my small team. Interviewer: Was it Georges Laraques public statement that this event is disgusting that motivated you? Frédérick: No absolutely not. Georges Laraque was not involved in it. It was really my own personal initiative. It was me and my partner, and really we used the event as a way to get out the message that it makes no good sense in modern society where were supposed to be against violence, so we find it very sad. Interviewer: We saw you escorted out, in a way, rather... Frédérick: Yes they were very violent with me. They broke one of my fingers, they told us to stop filming them, they shoved me into a chair and Im left with injuries from that... Interviewer: The organization maintains that its done in a safe way, within a fenced area, but you managed to do something that generates discussion about it nonetheless. What do you ask of the organization? Frédérick: Well with regard to the organization, it wasnt really them that we were targeting. Our goal was to increase education about animal liberation so it was directly really toward society, we just used the event as a way to deliver the message. But, theres nothing entertaining or joyful about chasing a pig around in a box and them tossing him into a barrel when he is a living being, who screams, just look, the images are right in front of us, the pig doesnt want to be there. Interviewer: Ok we only have a few more seconds, how did people at the event, the spectators, react to what you did yesterday? Frédérick: How did they react? I have no idea. I mean I had my message of animal liberation clearly displayed and I know thats a relatively new concept today, the idea of liberating non-human animals. Interviewer: Well I thank you for talking with us about your actions yesterday at the Pig Festival. Frédérick: Thank you very much!
