Rory & Davy Spillane doing a tribute to Phil Lynott ...having finished the band (Ballyalla) track...I was pushing for just Davy (on low whistle) and Rory (on Davys old vintage Silvertone acoustic guitar) to have a try at covering a Robert Johnson song. It wasnt really working out and while on a break we were discussing Phil Lynott who had recently died) and as if out of the air they began to busk on a theme..and I suggested that we dedicate it to Phils memory. In my opinion, Rory - like Robert Johnson/ Muddy waters/Jimi Hendrix - was a one off, a musician touched by the Gods...a blazing meteor-star that briefly streaked across the rock n roll sky....and disappeared...his likes wont be seen or heard again..
