Running for office is an exciting, fascinating experience, which brings you new understanding and new relationships that you didnt have when you first embarked on the endeavor. Running for office is also hard work, and involves sacrifice - including every last bit of your spare time. To all of the candidates who made the leap and stepped up to run this year, and to all of their teammates who traveled this road with them, take a moment tonight, before the whirlwind of tomorrow, and pause to savor the experience. I believe the vast majority of people who run for public office do so with good intentions and because they genuinely care. This deserves admiration. Good luck to all my friends on the ballot tomorrow; you already have reason to hold your head high.
