SADTU TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY IN THE FREE STATE, MALUTI REGION. The South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (SADTU) will celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day in the Free State province on the 6th and 7th of March under the theme – Quality for Women is Progress for All. The International Women’s Day is celebrated globally on the 8th of March in appreciation for women in general and their economic, political and social achievements. SADTU’s celebration will also mark the Union’s 24 years of existence claiming and sharing with its members its overwhelming victories. This will also give members an opportunity to meet with the Union’s National Executive Committee members in various branch meetings in the Maluti region. The main celebration will take place as follows: Date: Friday, 7 March 2014 Venue: Tiisetsang Secondary School – Bethlehem Branch mass meetings will take place as follows: Date: Thursday, 6 March 2014. Venues: 1. Thabo Koaho branch in Qwaqwa to be addressed by SADTU Deputy President Magope Maphila, Vice President for Gender MPule Sekabate, Northern Cape Provincial Chairperson George Masegela and Eastern Cape Provincial Secretary Mncekeleli Ndongeni. 2. Bethlehem (T.D Masithela) to be addressed by SADTU General Secretary Mugwena Maluleke, Vice President for Education Veronica Hofmeester, North West Provincial Chairperson Els Themba, Limpopo Provincial Secretary Matome Raphasha, Free State Provincial Secretary Mokholoane Moloi. 3. Senegal branch to be addressed by SADTU Deputy General Secretary Nkosana Dolopi, Provincial Chairperson Lawrence Yende, Eastern Cape Provincial Chairperson George Lukwe, Mpumalanga Provincial Secretary Walter Hlaise, Gauteng Provincial Secretary Tseliso Ledimo and Limpopo Provincial chairperson Ronnie Moroatshehla. 4. Fiksburg branch will be addressed by SADTU Vice President for Sport Arts and Culture Fezeka Loliwe, KwaZulu/Natal Provincial Chairperson Mabutho Cele, Northern Cape Provincial Secretary Sipho Mayongo and Western Cape Provincial Secretary Jonovan Rustin. 5. Fourisburg will be addresses by SADTU National Treasurer Lindiwe Motshwane, Mpumalanga Provincial Chairperson Oupa Bodibe, Western Cape Chairperson Mbulelo January, KwaZulu Natal Provincial Secretary Mbuyiseni Mathonsi and North West Acting Provincial Secretary Thabo Sematle.
