SCENARIO: You are sitting in the Hospital Emergency Ward at 2:00am with your family-you are the one that is sick (flu & drowsy). An ambulance pulls in & brings in a person who is VERY vocal. This person then becomes overly vocal (they may have a mental illness) & violent towards the staff & strikes at them. In the scuffle they fall at your feet. The patient glares at your spouse & starts to get up; What do you do?
