SCHOOL FACILITY: Sokoto State University (SSU) is a new conventional degree awarding Institution whose motto ‘It all begins here!’ depicts the concept of education as a determinant of progress and societal advancement. SSU is currently recruiting qualified candidates to fill various positions in the following Academic and Senior Administrative Departments. (A) Senior Administrative Positions: HEALTH SECTOR: 1.Director of Hospital Services 2. Pharmacists 3. Medical Officer 4. Nursing Officer II 5. Nursing Superintendent 6. Laboratory Scientist Qualification/Requirements: HEALTH SECTOR: (1) Director of Hospital Services: Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degree or its equivalent from a recognized University with fifteen years Post Basic Qualification experience. S/he must possess the Fellowship of the Nigerian Postgraduate Medical College or its equivalent and an up to date Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. A Postgraduate qualification in Public Health will be an Advantage. (2) Pharmacist: Applicants must hold a good B. Pham degree from a recognized University and must be Registrable with the Pharmacists Registration Council of Nigeria, Plus one year post-Registration Cognate experience. (3) Medical Officer: Applicants must hold a degree in MBBS with a minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Practice at a recognized institution. S/he must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). (4) Nursing Officer: Applicants must hold a good Bachelors degree in Nursing Science from a recognized University and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. (5) Nursing Superintendent: Applicants must hold the NRN Qualification from a recognized Nursing School within the Country and duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. A post Basic Qualification in Midwifery will be an added advantage. (6) Laboratory Scientist: Potential Applicants must possess a good Bachelors of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) and must be registered or registrable with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
