SCRIPTURES FOR THE DAY AND YOUR SOUL I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with Yah’s Shalom and his Favor! 1Co 9:1 Am I not an emissary? Am I not free? Have I not seen יהושע Messiah our Master? Are you not my work in the Master? 1Co 9:2 If to others I am not an emissary, I certainly am to you. For you are the seal of my office of the emissary in the Master. 1Co 9:3 My defence to those who examine me is this: 1Co 9:4 Do we not have a right to eat and drink? 1Co 9:5 Do we not have a right to take along a sister – a wife – as do also the other emissaries, and the brothers of the Master, and Kĕpha? 1Co 9:6 Or do only Barnaḇah and I have no right to refrain from working? 1Co 9:7 Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who shepherds a flock and does not feed on the milk of the flock? 1Co 9:8 Do I say this as a man? Or does not the Torah say the same too? 1Co 9:9 For it has been written in the Torah of Mosheh, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it about oxen Elohim is concerned? 1Co 9:10 Or does He say it because of us all? For this was written because of us, that he who ploughs should plough in expectation, and the thresher in expectation of sharing. 1Co 9:11 If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap material goods from you? 1Co 9:12 If others share authority over you, should not rather we? But we have not used this authority, but we put up with all, lest we hinder the Good News of Messiah. 1Co 9:13 Do you not know that those serving the Set-apart Place eat from the Set-apart Place, and those attending at the altar have their share of the offerings of the altar? 1Co 9:14 So also the Master instituted that those announcing the Good News should live from the Good News. 1Co 9:15 But I have used none of these, nor have I written this that it should be done so to me. For it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting empty. 1Co 9:16 For if I bring the Good News, it is no boasting for me, for necessity is laid on me, and it is woe to me if I do not bring the Good News! 1Co 9:17 For if I do this voluntarily I have a reward, but if not voluntarily, I am entrusted with a management. 1Co 9:18 What then is my reward? That in bringing the Good News, I should offer the Good News of Messiah without cost, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News. 1Co 9:19 For though I am free from all, I made myself a servant to all, in order to win more, 1Co 9:20 and to the Yehuḏim I became as a Yehuḏite, that I might win Yehuḏim; to those who are under Torah, as under Torah, so as to win those who are under Torah; 1Co 9:21 to those without Torah, as without Torah – not being without Torah toward Elohim, but under Torah of Messiah – so as to win those who are without Torah. 1Co 9:22 To the weak I became as weak, so as to win the weak. To all men I have become all, so as to save some, by all means. 1Co 9:23 And I do this because of the Good News, so as to become a fellow-partaker with it. 1Co 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race indeed all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to obtain it. 1Co 9:25 And everyone who competes controls himself in every way. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we for an incorruptible crown. 1Co 9:26 Therefore I run accordingly, not with uncertainty. Thus I fight, not as one who beats the air. 1Co 9:27 But I treat my body severely and make it my slave, so that when I have proclaimed to others, I myself might be rejected. 1Co 10:1 For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 1Co 10:2 and all were immersed into Mosheh in the cloud and in the sea, 1Co 10:3 and all ate the same spiritual food, 1Co 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed, and the Rock was Messiah. 1Co 10:5 However, with most of them Elohim was not well pleased, for they were laid low in the wilderness. 1Co 10:6 And these became examples for us, so that we should not lust after evil, as those indeed lusted. 1Co 10:7 And do not become idolaters as some of them, as it has been written, “The people sat down to eat and to drink, and stood up to play.” 1Co 10:8 Neither should we commit whoring, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell, 1Co 10:9 neither let us try Messiah, as some of them also tried, and were destroyed by serpents, 1Co 10:10 neither grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 1Co 10:11 And all these came upon them as examples, and they were written as a warning to us, on whom the ends of the ages have come, 1Co 10:12 so that he who thinks he stands, let him take heed lest he fall. 1Co 10:13 No trial has overtaken you except such as is common to man, and Elohim is trustworthy, who shall not allow you to be tried beyond what you are able, but with the trial shall also make the way of escape, enabling you to bear it. 1Co 10:14 Therefore, my beloved ones, flee from idolatry. 1Co 10:15 I speak as to wise men, judge for yourselves what I say. 1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Messiah? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Messiah? 1Co 10:17 Because there is one bread, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. 1Co 10:18 Look at Yisra’ĕl after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the offerings sharers in the altar? 1Co 10:19 What then do I say? That an idol is of any value? Or that which is offered to idols is of any value? 1Co 10:20 No, but what the gentiles offer they offer to demons1 and not to Elohim, and I do not wish you to become sharers with demons. Footnote: 1Lev. 17:7 1Co 10:21 You are not able to drink the cup of the Master and the cup of demons, you are not able to partake of the table of the Master and of the table of demons. 1Co 10:22 Do we provoke the Master to jealousy? Are we stronger than He? 1Co 10:23 All is permitted me, but not all do profit. All is permitted me, but not all build up. 1Co 10:24 Let no one seek his own, but each one that of the other. 1Co 10:25 You eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions because of conscience, 1Co 10:26 for “The earth belongs to יהוה, and all that fills it.” 1Co 10:27 And if any of the unbelievers invite you, and you wish to go, you eat whatever is set before you, asking no question on account of the conscience. 1Co 10:28 And if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” do not eat it because of the one pointing it out to you, and on account of the conscience, for “The earth belongs to יהוה, and all that fills it.” 1Co 10:29 Now I say conscience, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience? 1Co 10:30 But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for what I give thanks? 1Co 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the esteem of Elohim. 1Co 10:32 Cause no stumbling, either to the Yehuḏim or to the Greeks or to the assembly of Elohim, 1Co 10:33 as I also please all men in all matters, not seeking my own advantage, but that of the many, that they might be saved. Pro 17:1 Better is a dry piece of bread and rest with it, Than a house filled with the offerings of strife. Pro 17:2 A wise servant rules over a son who causes shame, And shares an inheritance among the brothers. Pro 17:3 A refining pot is for silver and a furnace for gold, But יהוה tries the hearts. Pro 17:4 An evil-doer gives heed to wicked lips; A liar gives ear to a tongue of desire. Pro 17:5 He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker; He who rejoices at calamity does not go unpunished. Pro 17:6 Children’s children are the crown of old men, And the adornment of children is their fathers. Pro 17:7 Excellent speech is not fitting for a fool, Much less lying lips for a noble. Pro 17:8 A bribe is a stone of favour in the eyes of its owner; Wherever he turns, he prospers. Pro 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends. Pro 17:10 Reproof enters deeper into a wise man Than a hundred blows on a fool. Pro 17:11 An evil one seeks only rebellion, So a cruel messenger is sent against him. Pro 17:12 Let a bereaved bear meet a man, Rather than a fool in his folly. Pro 17:13 Whoever rewards evil for good, Evil does not leave his house. Pro 17:14 The beginning of strife is like releasing water; Therefore stop fighting before it breaks out. Pro 17:15 He who declares the wrong right, And he who condemns the righteous, Both of them are an abomination to יהוה. Pro 17:16 Why is this – a price in the hand Of a fool to buy wisdom, When there is no heart? Pro 17:17 A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity. Pro 17:18 A man lacking heart shakes hands in a pledge, He becomes a guarantor for his friend. Pro 17:19 He who loves transgression loves strife, He who exalts his door seeks destruction. Pro 17:20 He who has a crooked heart finds no good, And he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil. Pro 17:21 He who brings forth a fool has sorrow for it, And the father of a fool has no joy. Pro 17:22 A rejoicing heart causes good healing, But a stricken spirit dries the bones. Pro 17:23 One who is wrong accepts a bribe behind the back To pervert the paths of right-ruling. Pro 17:24 Wisdom is before the face of the understanding one, But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth. Pro 17:25 A foolish son is a grief to his father, And bitterness to her who bore him. Pro 17:26 It is also not good to punish the righteous one, To smite noble ones for straightness. Pro 17:27 He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is cool of spirit. Pro 17:28 Even a fool keeping silence is regarded as wise, As understanding, when he closes his lips. YAH’S SHALOM & BLESSINGS TO ALL THOSE WHO WALK IN>> “the Way” AND KEEP HIS COMMANDS TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITITY! Num 6:24 “יהוה bless you and guard you; Num 6:25 יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favor to you; Num 6:26 יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” Hearted With brotherly love in the body of Messiah in the Way
