SEA 264W - Triumph TR7 v8 This will be a long series of posts showing how an already immaculate and upgrade TR7 DHC was bought and played with to make it faster and better than most TR7s on the road …. The first owner bought the car 1st March 1981 and he kept it for 26 years putting only 35000 documented mileage on it – using it just for holidays and weekends – when sold it was still immaculate and there was an accompanying document wallet that was stuffed full of receipts detailing every service, repair and upgrade that he had lavished on the car since new; when totalled the amount spent was upwards of £16,000. So what had the first owner done? - The car had received four subtle conversions from standard before during his 26 year ownership - he installed a brand new 3500cc 9.35:1 V8 and a 3.08:1 diff and in the early 1990s added a Holley 4 barrel carburettor along with a TR8 front brake upgrade. In 2007 he reluctantly deciding to sell the car and it was snapped up by a perfectionist who then started in invest in his TR7 … more to follow
