SEVERE WEATHER ADVICE: Squally northerly winds across central - TopicsExpress

SEVERE WEATHER ADVICE: Squally northerly winds across central Victoria are likely to gust to 110 km/hr or more over the next 2-4 hours as very strong winds are brought to the surface via turbulent mixing in a very warm atmosphere. These winds are capable of bringing down trees and branches, causing damage to structures, lifting and blowing loose objects from yards and balconies. They will produce large breaking waves on Port Philip and create hazardous driving conditions on exposed roads and roads with overhanging or nearby trees. A cooler westerly wind change should bring an end to the very windy weather this evening between 6 and 8pm as a few showers develop with a cooler west wind. Take care out there!
