SIX SUPERNATURAL ADVANTAGES “For you grant him lasting blessings; you give him great joy by allowing him into your presence.” –Psalm 21:6, NET This week has been a study in the presence of God and the many effects of loving God’s presence. Today we conclude by looking at the six supernatural advantages of God’s presence. 1. Strength advantage In God’s presence, we gain strength to resist temptation, to obey God’s commands, to rest in Him, to be patient and to lift our hands to Him. 2. Change advantage God’s presence will cause those things we face to change – to tremble and move. He can change your circumstances! 3. Joy advantage God’s presence puts your anxiety at rest and exchanges it for lasting joy and peace. 4. Upholding advantage As you take hold of God, He takes hold of you and keeps you from growing so weary that you cannot stand. 5. Protection advantage It is said that security is not the absence of danger, but the presence of God, no matter what the danger. God is your shelter in rain, storm, danger or falsehood. 6. Mountain-moving advantage God can move the mountain in your way. He can also raise your perspective to look above the mountain and see your circumstance in a new light that restores your vision and refreshes your soul. Let us be presence-lovers, addicted to it and growing in it. Let God saturate your life and your church with His presence.
