SSRB asked to speed up selection process: Srinagar, August 11: The Subordinate Committee (SC) of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Monday asked J&K Services Selection Recruitment Board to speed up the pace of selection process of the various posts referred to it by various government departments. The Committee met today under the Chairmanship of MLC Ali Mohammad Dar and discussed and examined the functioning of J&K Services Selection Recruitment Board. Legislators, Mr. Vijay Bakaya, Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah, Mr. Showkat Ahmad Ganai and Mr. Mohammad Mustafa Parray were present in the meeting. The Committee discussed threadbare the criteria and pace of selection process by the Board authorities and emphasized on maintains transparency and upholding sanctity of the Board, besides speed up the pace of selection process. The Chairperson, JKSSRB, Ms. Shugufta Parveen told the meeting that during this year 17619 different posts were referred to the Board and selection process of 14001 posts has been completed out of which various selection lists comprising of 7194 posts were made public till date. It was also given out that selection lists for the 423 posts will be released soon. She also revealed that selection of 6384 posts is under tabulation besides 8000 fresh posts have been received after March, 2014 out of which screening test for 946 posts has been held and schedule for 4592 posts have issued by the Board. Ms. Shugufta Parveen assured the Committee that Board is doing its job with utmost zeal and dedication besides maintains transparency in the selection processes and will issue the selection lists of about 6000 posts by November this year. She also said that candidates appearing in different screening tests held by Board can now take question papers along with them after appearing in the said test besides Board will provide answer keys of those papers to the candidates also. The meeting was also informed that Board is going to facilitate the candidates with on-line form filling facility soon. Among others, Secretary JKSSRB, Additional Secretary J&K Legislative Council and other officers were present in the meeting
