SYNOPSIS: Happy Wednesday! Its back... heres the weather synopsis... ASIA: The remnants of #FungWong (Fung-Wong) will bring rain for Japan during the next couple of days. The rain will spread eastward into central and northern Japan through Thursday. Plenty of rainfall has already fallen in South Korea and western Japan, causing flooding and landslide problems. Meanwhile, a tropical depression near Guam is expected to intensify the next few days, and there is concern that this one could be a problem maker. However, the best determination on the track for this storm will require a few more days of observation. High pressure is increasing its influence for northern China, causing possible air quality problems for later this week. Southern China might see some more rain - with the mountains seeing some possible snowfall. OCEANIA: Eastern Australia, especially New South Wales and Victoria, will see rain for the rest of Wednesday and into parts of Thursday. Skies will clear for the weekend, but another front will move in from the west, bringing showers for Western Australia by late Saturday into Sunday. New Zealand is seeing a temporary dry spell for Wednesday, but by Thursday, the rain from the southeastern corner of Australia will arrive in New Zealand, bringing a chance of rain and possible snow showers. The rain will be slow in moving away, lingering particularly over North Island through the weekend. EUROPE: A frontal boundary associated with a low pressure system over eastern Europe will continue to bring cooler weather with a chance of rain. This front will quickly move east into Russia during Wednesday. Meanwhile, another low up north in the Scandinavian countries will also usher in a chance for some rain down into the western European countries. As we head into the second half of the work week, there will be some sunnier and drier weather for central Europe, but there will also be some cooler weather in store for residents in the area. NORTH AMERICA: A land-falling low pressure system located in the US Pacific Northwest will bring some windy and wet conditions for Wednesday. Heavy rain will be a part of the forecast, and expect to see powerful winds at times as well. The rain will extend as far south as northern California. Central US into southern Canada will see a building ridge of high pressure, bringing pleasant and sunny conditions for the rest of the week. A low has developed off the coast of North Carolina, causing rain to continue through the next few days. Hope you have a good day wherever you are!
